Second Tutorial
I'm back to give an update of what i have done during my 2nd Lab. =D Well for my 2nd lab, we were supposed to search the web for one Personal and one Organisationsal website on our individual topics.
So , what exactly is a Personal and Organisational Website?
Personal Website - Is a website maintained by an individual where it will relate to their own personal interests. Example of a personal website will be blogs.
Organisational Website - Is a collection of WWW pages which are created and maintained by a particular organization. Example of an organisationsal website would be BBC where it contains all kinds of news sources.
Well, after understanding what a personal and organisational website is, I proceeded on to search for the resources for my own topic. I realised that it wasn't easy to search for a personal website as compared to searching for an organisational website.
Organisational Website :
I managed to find one article - 'Drugs lessons from prisoners' from the BBC website where it describes how the prisoners who took drugs previously move on with their lives. In the article, one of the prisoners described how drugs were introduced into his life and how he became engrossed in crime, and eventually ended up in prison.
For this organisational website, I have used the google search engine and entered the keywords like "BBC impact of drugs abuse on youths", "BBC News".

Personal Website :
For the personal website, I found one blog which is on 'Drug Abuse Awareness'. This blog talks about this person wanting to create the awareness of the sad reality of drug abuse. He is currently collecting information that he can find on this subject and he would like to share it with the public.
As for the personal website, I have also make used of the google search engine and search using the keywords "Impact of drugs abuse on youths blogs".
My Reflection
From this lab, I have understand better what is a personal website and an organisational website. After searching for a personal and an organisational website, I find that the organisational website contains more extensive information and their information are very up-to-date unlike a personal website where it usually contains the opinions about their personal interests and the information are not really updated.
